It features a built-in pressure cup to focus compression directly on the wound site, three metres of sterile 4-ply gauze for packing, and a removable occlusive plastic sheet stored neatly behind the pad. Velcro® control strips prevent accidental unravelling, allowing secure application even under pressure.

How to use the Olaes® Modular Bandage

1. Open the package: Tear open the packaging to remove the bandage.
2. Position the dressing: Place the sterile pad directly over the wound.
3. Apply pressure: Use the transparent pressure cup to focus pressure on the wound site. This helps to control bleeding and allows you to see if further bleeding continues beneath the dressing.
4. Wrap and secure: Use the elastic bandage to wrap around the limb or wound area. The built-in Velcro® control strips help prevent the bandage from unravelling and keep it securely in place during use.
5. Use the gauze if needed: The bandage contains three metres of sterile, zig-zag packed gauze that can be used for wound packing if required.
6. Seal when appropriate: The removable occlusive plastic sheet behind the dressing pad can be used to cover chest wounds or other injuries where an airtight seal is needed.
7. As an eye shield: The pressure cup can also be used as a rigid eye cover when required.
